style play: vintage + chic

One of my (most) favorite things about my job is that I get to test out different styles of home decor in my own home and share them here on the interwebs. It’s a pretty cool little gig I must say and I pinch myself sometimes that it’s my actual job, job!

It’s waay less glamorous (but very fun) than most think, but that’s a topic for another day….

As far as my style goes, I will always be drawn to a collected look with a strong emphasis on mixing things up because good design is all about the mix, no matter what style! Try your grandmother’s Mid-Century credenza with a set of Industrial lamps. A modern sofa with vintage art. A Scandinavian table with a Persian rug. It’s more fun and interesting to not always be matchy-matchy (unless that is your thing…then live your truth, my friend!)

Today I’m teaming up again with my friends at to share a style mix that is both timeless, elegant, charming while also being a bit modern. I used a few pieces I already had on hand with a few new pieces from Walmart to style this sweet + simple little vignette in our bonus room.

I love the quality (think real marble!) and the fact that the pieces I got play nice with the rest of my decor. I found those gorgeous glam marble table lamps and that rad circular mirror and paired them with a Mid-Century modern-inspired buffet that I have had for years (vintage Home Goods..haha). Add some life (of course), throw in some books, some storage and a bit of texture and call it a day!

Simplicity at it’s finest. And marble will always always have my heart.

I’ve put together a little shopping guide to get this vintage + chic look in your own home and it’s all from! I love how they are stepping up their decor game and now offer a ton of different brands with competitive pricing, free shipping on orders of $35 or more, free returns and you can shop online and pick up in your local store. The quality is legit and the offerings are awesome so go check em out!
