Raise your hand if you could spend all day lounging (or working) in your pj’s especially in the colder months
[raises hand, very high] …

To be fair, I mainly work from home and one of the benefits is that you can wear whatever you want to the office! And on most days, I take full advantage of that because who doesn’t want to be cozy and comfy while answering emails and taking calls?

So you can guess I was pumped to find out that my fav home decor brand, Serena & Lily makes pajamas! And they aren’t your run of the mill poly blend PJ – these babies are plush, soft and oh so cozy and made in Portugal from the finest materials like woven cotton flannel and washed linen. It’s next level comfy and I am here for it!

So in the spirit of living cozier in 2020, here are 5 quick and easy tips to live well at home, preferably in your pj’s:

1/ Dress comfortably

I mean…pajama pants vs tight jeans….seems like a no brainer to me! There is nothing I love more than putting on my fav comfy clothes (or PJs!) and just relaxing, especially after a long day. And don’t forget the slippers to keep the tootsies warm!

2/ Snuggle your loves

In addition to office attire, these pj’s are perfect for cozying up on the sofa! Preferably with a sweet pup and an adorable 4-year old on a rainy Sunday morning with nothing to do but lounge, snuggle, sip coffee and be present in the moment.

3/ Disconnect

We are living in a fast-paced and instantaneous society and turning off your email and social media (at least for a short time) will allow you to be more present in the moment. To savor the right here and now without imagining being somewhere else or worrying about deadlines or expectations.

4/ Enjoy a nice cuppa something

Step away for a moment and take a coffee break! Or a tea break! Or a whiskey break in the evenings. And make sure you have a little treat to go along with it and a blanket to snuggle. It’s the simple things in life…

5/ Add lots of cozy texture, not clutter

A home is not a home without texture. A chunky throw, soft + cushy pillows, a rug that feels great underfoot –these are things that make a home feel warm and inviting. When it comes to stuff, keep the pieces that you love, that have true value and meaning to you. That way you aren’t distracted by piles of clutter or unnecessary objects getting in the way.

Here’s to slowing down, relaxing and taking care of ourselves in 2020! Stay warm and cozy out there!
