My home

We live on a sunny cul-de-sac in a home that can only be described as '90's traditional' (with lots of modern potential). Over the last couple of years, we have been slowly upgrading our home to suite our tastes. Love the music from the 90's, but not crazy over the home design choices. Our house does have good bones, tall ceilings and plenty of natural light! It suites us and feels pretty happy! Stay tuned as we continue to make updates!

Exterior

We haven't done too much to the exterior apart from painting the shudders, updating the door hardware and lighting as well as some light landscaping and de-weeding.

Breakfast Nook

This is probably the most used area of our home. Its full of bright and happy sun and is often filled with kids eating snacks, playing Legos, painting, Play-doh, Sunday morning breakfasts and just general family time. Its shows the love too, if you know what I mean. The only things we have really done to improve it is paint it Sherwin Williams Sea Salt for a bright, neutral coastal vibe. I love the simplicity of the windows and all the original details.

Kitchen

In the kitchen, we updated the counters to quartz, added a subway tile backsplash, added under mounted LED lights, painted the 90's oak cabinets white and added some fun brass hardware. We do have some newer appliances, but I'm holding out for a new (preferably) gas oven and a hood vent sometime this year.

Dining Room

Our dining room has mainly seen lots of decor changes. When we first moved in, we did paint it Sherwin Williams Aloof Grey (it was originally a very bright red color). The decor changes I have made include new dining chairs, a couple of different rugs (musical rugs, anyone?) and new lighting.

Office

My office is part living room and part desk/working environment. I kinda love that it has dual functions! This room sees the most sun in the whole house and the most decor changes. I love being able to swap out rugs and textiles, but keep the staples such as my amazing vintage teal chairs and the neutral grey walls. I have been debating a fun wall treatment in here though..perhaps some wallpaper or a textured treatment? Stay tuned!

Living Room

Our living room is definitely the hub of our home. We watch a lot of TV here, lounge and the kids basically keep all their toys here so there is always lots of activity (and at times chaos, if I'm being honest) happening in this space. We did paint the walls and trim when we moved in and updated the ceiling fan, and painted the brick surround white, but basically its been decor updates. I have fun changing things up and moving things around.
